In real terms ‘free’ funding for training has significantly reduced in recent years and this trend looks set to continue. Funding for level 2 qualifications is increasingly difficult to obtain.
Student finance has been introduced to vocational training as a new way of funding level 3, 4 and 5 qualifications and works in the same way as it does for learner’s who have assistance paying for university. With no money being paid back by the learner until they earn over £25,000, this has proven to be a popular option.
Apprenticeships are also available with the added requirements of achieving English and maths as well as the newly introduced end-point assessments. Recently there has also been an employer contribution added to apprenticeships.
The cost of training is therefore being increasingly expected to be met by employers or individual learners. We have strong relationships with WDF funding however and many years experience in seeking out available funding and can give you help and advice to assist you to obtain available funds to help with your training costs.
