This qualification is aimed at lead healthcare and support workers who are working within the care setting and for those who wish to further their qualifications possibly with a view to a more senior role. The course will help you to identify your competence in the area in which you work, looking at key areas including:

  • Communicate and complete records for individuals
  • Support the health and safety of yourself and others
  • Develop your knowledge and practice
  • Ensure your own actions support the care of individuals

This work will be made up of a combination of written evidence and observations carried out by one of our assessors in your workplace and / or remote assessment. You will receive one to one support from one of our experienced assessors as well as support materials designed by ourselves. There are no formal entry requirements, but you must be able to show your competence within a work setting. There is no fixed timescale but we do aim to have all learners completed within 12 months.  You need to be in position of responsibility where you can gain evidence of managerial duties in order to fulfil the reflective evidence and research required. There are no formal entry requirements, however it is preferable that you have obtained a prior qualification in care.
